Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (WCET)

 

Our subsidised Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (WCET) programme provides children in Key Stage 2 (school years 3 to 6) with the opportunity to experience learning an instrument for one term or more in their school.

 

We teach a range of instruments including recorder, flute, cello, violin, ukulele, guitar and glockenspiel. Classes are usually 40 minutes long.

Through the programme, children enjoy learning the basics of an instrument, develop their musicianship as well as many transferable skills such as concentration, team work and self-confidence. Children can then progress on the same or a different instrument in smaller group or individual lessons.
