We’re seeking feedback about Waltham Forest Music Service from parents and carers. All feedback is welcome, whether your child learns music with us or other providers, or if you have ideas about music experiences you’d like to see please tell us. Your views will help us plan future music education experiences in Waltham Forest, responses are welcome before Friday 19th May.

Waltham Forest Children's Ukulele Club

For children aged 8-12, no experience needed, beginners are welcome. An excellent 'next step' for children who've played ukulele in their class at school. Bring your own ukulele or buy one from us.

Satellite Music School in Chingford

We are delighted to launch a new Music School held at Chingford C of E school. We offer 1-1 music lessons on Wednesdays and a creative music ensemble on Thursdays.

Music School groups

We welcome new members to all our groups and ensembles – a new school year is a great time for young people to join us, make music together and meet new friends. Come along and give us a try!

1-2-1 instrumental and singing lessons

Individual 20 or 30 minute instrumental and vocal lessons are held face-to-face at our Music School at Walthamstow School for Girls. Lessons are taught Monday to Thursday after the school day and on Saturdays. We teach a range of orchestral and contemporary instruments including piano, guitar, drum kit, flute, violin and trumpet.

Mini Musicians

Our music courses for babies, toddlers and children aged 4-6 years use a variety of musical activities to lay a musical foundation:
 

Music theory classes
Our theory classes are held in small, relaxed groups to help develop your child’s understanding of music and help them progress.

 

Instrument hire

Students having lessons in school or at our Music School with us can hire an instrument. Please contact us to hire or return instruments to our office which is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm during term time:

Who we are...

Waltham Forest Music Education Hub  (WFMEH) was formed in 2018 and is led by Waltham Forest Music Service (WFMS).
