This is open to any young person who is secondary aged and is interested in writing their own songs.
Our Songwriters’ Circle programme offers young musicians the opportunity to develop their songwriting skills in a creative, supportive environment. Delivered in partnership with ABRSM, students will explore songwriting techniques, develop their own musical style, and build confidence in composing, presenting and evaluating original work.
As part of an exciting pilot of ABRSM’s new Creative Music Qualifications in Songwriting, participants can also work towards recognised qualifications while collaborating with other aspiring songwriters and musicians.
All students need to bring along is themselves, any material they’ve written or started to write (don’t worry if they haven’t got any!) and an instrument (if portable).
Fees for this course are separate to Music School Membership as it includes wider progression opportunities including accredited songwriting qualifications.
If joining part way through the term, fees are pro rata for the number of weeks remaining in the term.
