The concert is open to young musicians of any instrument (including singers) from beginner level to grade 8 to perform.
Play Day - Try Out an Ensemble
For anyone learning an orchestral instrument, who is between Grade 1-5 standard, to experience playing in an ensemble.
Come and join us for instrumental Play Day at Walthamstow School for Girls on Saturday 29th November from 2:00PM to 4:30PM
Play Day is a fantastic opportunity to meet and make music with other students from Waltham Forest who are between Grade 1 to Grade 5 standard on their instruments and in Year 4 and above. Students will rehearse in sectionals and combine to form a massed ensemble of children and young people from across Waltham Forest, with a showcase concert at the end of the afternoon.

About the day:
> No ensemble / group playing experience is needed
> The course is led by music teachers from Waltham Forest Music Service
> Open to musicians who are in Year 4 upwards
> We welcome all wind, brass and strings section (violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, french horn, tuba)
> Students will need to bring their instrument/s along
> Students can bring a drink and any snacks required. (No nuts please)
> Fees are £25 per pupil + £2.80 booking fee ; 50% discount for families on a low income
