Solo Performance Platform
Young musicians are invited to our Solo Performance Platform. Performing is fantastic way for young musicians to gain experience and develop confidence.
Our annual competition invites bands from Waltham Forest secondary schools to compete to become the Waltham Forest Battle of the Bands winner.
It gives young people the opportunity to perform and receive supportive feedback from a panel of experts from the music industry.
When they take part in the competition, young people step onto the stage and become stars for the night, giving them a performance platform that builds their confidence and musicianship.
Since starting in 2003, the competition has supported over 600 pupils performing in over 130 acts. The majority have formed at their secondary schools, supported by their music teachers, and rehearsing in their lunchbreaks.
Battle of the Bands 2026 will take place on Wednesday 10th June. Any pupils who would like to take part should speak to their Music Teacher at their school, or contact us for more information.
