What is a Music Hub?

Music Education Hubs are comprised of local authorities, schools, art organisations and community organisations. They work together to create joined-up music education provision, respond to local need and fulfil the objectives of the Hub as set out in the National Plan for Music Education. Hubs receive funding from the Department for Education through the Arts Council England.

Waltham Forest Music Service (WFMS) is part of the East London Music Alliance (ELMA)

The East London Music Alliance (ELMA) is a consortium made up of eight East London Music Hubs, all of whom are dedicated to music education and excellence in East London, and who have been working together for over a decade.

Continuing to build on this partnership, and led by Waltham Forest Music Service (WFMS) for the first year of the project, the consortium’s vison will see them deliver even more high quality music education in the region, as well as offering a range of accessible opportunities to every young person in East London.

The consortium also plans to further build on new and existing partnerships to deliver a wide and exciting range of projects and initiatives across the area.
