Dance Networking Meeting for Primary & Secondary schools and dance practitioners/organisations in Waltham Forest
Supporting Mental Health & Wellbeing through the arts in schools
Wednesday 6th January 2021 4-5.15pm on Zoom
A virtual CPD to explore resources and Waltham Forest case studies to support children & young people's mental health and wellbeing through the arts
Presenters will include Hannah Peaty, Art Co-ordinator at Soho Parish Primary School who will share some classroom activities which use mindfulness to help develop students' creativity; Cara Verkerk, Team Lead of the Art Room at Place2Be, a provision within the charity where art is used to support children’s wellbeing and mental health and teachers presenting case studies from local schools
This networking meeting is free for Waltham Forest teachers and dance practitioners working with Waltham Forest schools. The promo code to register free of charge is available by emailing the LBWF CEP via email@example.com. A minimum £1 donation is requested from those from working outside Waltham Forest.
The CEP is organising 30 minute arts specialist networking meetings on Zoom in all art forms during the remainder of the summer term and into the autumn term.
These will focus on a range of topics including sharing best practice during lockdown, recommended virtual resources and using the arts to support students’ health and well-being in light of COVID-19.
